How often should my filter be cleaned?
We recommend having your filter cleaned 2 times a year for DE and Cartridge filters. If you have a sand filter, we recommend changing the sand every 5 years.
How long should my pump be running for?
This can vary depending on the size of the pool, filter, and pump. During the summer months, we recommend running the pump minimum of 10 hours. During the winter months, it can be dropped to between 6-8 hours.
Is it safe to swim after chemicals are added to the pool?
We recommend waiting 2-4 hours to swim when we have added chemicals. This will allow the pool to circulate the chemicals and allow them to properly treat your pool for its intended purpose. All the chemicals we use are NSF certified, non-toxic and non-hazardous.
Why does my water need to be changed?
There are a couple of factors that go into draining a pool. It all starts with the chemistry levels. CYA and Calcium Hardness are two main reasons a pool needs to be drained. There are no chemicals that can bring these two readings down. The only way to bring down CYA and Calcium Hardness is to drain and refill with fresh water.
